The 2005-2006 Youth Commisstion

Before the formation of the El Dorado County Youth Commission a small group of youth in our community, then known as the Youth Council, recognized that a youth voice was lacking in local government.  In 2003 The El Dorado County Youth Council began to work with the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and the San Francisco Youth Commission to develop what is now the El Dorado County Youth Commission.

In 2004 youth interviews were instituted for Youth across El Dorado County for Youth Commission applicants to find the best suited youth to represent a diverse group of young people. The Youth Commission began to promote a youth voice throughout our community. 

The 2006-2007 Youth Commission

Since the formation the Youth Commission has developed many areas of interest and expanded its efforts to reach more youth through dedication and perseverance.  The El Dorado County Youth Commission has and will impact youth throughout the community in a positive way.

The El Dorado County Youth Commission remains dedicated
to promoting youth leadership, involvement in government, and
empowerment of youth in our community.
