Master Gardeners are community members who have been trained under the direction of the University of California Cooperative Extension. Each volunteer has completed more than 50 hours of formal classroom training. Master Gardeners help the Cooperative Extension office provide practical scientific gardening information to the home gardeners of our county.

How to Garden and Landscape in the Tahoe Basin
The University of California Cooperative Extension and Tahoe Resource Conservation District are collecting input on the need for a Master Gardener program in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The information collected in this survey will be used to gauge public interest in developing a program and to plan the program if interest seems high.
