4-H Enrollment Information for

2007/2008 Program Year

Enrollment for the 2007/2008 program year will begin on September 1, 2007. Dealine for registration to be eligible for the 2008 El Dorado County fair will be on October 15, 2007.

General Information: Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H as primary members if they are 5 years old or in kindergarten as of January 1st of the program year. If they are 9 years old or in the fourth grade by January 1st of the program year, they can enroll as regular members. Please note that if youth are home schooled, the grade criterion does not apply. Youth remain eligible for membership until December 31st of the year in which they turn 19 years old..

Enrollment fees: NOTICE--NEW FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE 2008/2009 PROGRAM YEAR!

$22.00 for Youth Membership; $16.00 for Adult Volunteer membership; $5.00 for Hotline Newsletter Subscription.

Please make checks payable to "U C Regents."

An individual must be 18 years or older to become a 4-H Volunteer. A Volunteer cannot simultaneously be a 4-H member. Depending upon the roles and responsibilities of a volunteer position, additional age restrictions can be applied. Adults cannot apply for Volunteer membership until they have been fingerprinted (Live Scan), cleared, and oriented. If you were not an Adult Volunteer last season, but were in years past, you will have to be refingerprinted in order to be an Adult Volunteer this year. (Live Scan forms must be picked up at the UCCE office—they are not available on line.)

Make sure you fill out and return page one and as many second pages as you have family members enrolling in 4-H.
