4-H Enrollment Information for

2009/2010 Program Year

The deadline for El Dorado County 4-H Enrollment in order to be eligible for the 2010 County Fair is October 15, 2009. 

General Information: Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H as primary members if they are 5 years old or in kindergarten as of January 1st of the program year. If they are 9 years old or in the fourth grade by January 1st of the program year, they can enroll as regular members. Please note that if youth are home schooled, the grade criterion does not apply. Youth remain eligible for membership until December 31st of the year in which they turn 19 years old.

Enrollment fees: NOTICE--ENROLLMENT FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE 2009/2010 PROGRAM YEAR:

$22.00 for Youth Membership; $16.00 for Adult Volunteer membership, and $5.00 for the Hotline to be mailed to your home.

Please make checks payable to "U C Regents."

An individual must be 18 years or older to become a 4-H Adult Volunteer. A Volunteer cannot simultaneously be a 4-H member. Depending upon the roles and responsibilities of a volunteer position, additional age restrictions can be applied. Adults cannot apply for Volunteer membership until they have been fingerprinted (Live Scan), cleared, and oriented. If you were not an Adult Volunteer last season, but were in years past, you will have to be refingerprinted in order to be an Adult Volunteer this year. (Live Scan forms must be picked up at the UCCE office—they are not available on line.)

The enrollment process for the 2009/2010 program year will remain as much the same as last year. All members must enroll on-line via the new 4-H On-Line Enrollment System. The system will not permit you to enroll until September 1st. IF YOU ARE A RETURNING MEMBER: Use the password you had last year.  If you have forgotten your 4-H Password the office staff can reset it for you. You will receive an automatic email confirming that your password has been reset. SAVE THAT EMAIL. Use the password in that email when you enroll your family in the 4-H On-Line System after September 1, 2009. It can be changed after you have gained access to the system.

Enroll as soon as you can after September 1, 2009. Members enrolled in4-H for the 2008/2009 program year will be covered by 4-H insurance only until October 15, 2009. You will not be officially enrolled in 4-H for the 2009/2010 program year until we receive your signed paperwork and program fees and you have been confirmed. It might take two weeks or longer for your enrollment to be confirmed. If you enroll late or close to the deadline of October 15th that might mean there might be a period while you are waiting to be confirmed that you will not be covered by 4-H insurance. Therefore, start the enrollment process as soon as possible after September 1st.

When enrolling you will be using a "Family" email address to be recognized in the system. Use only one email address for your family. 

The forms below  must be printed, filled out and returned to the 4-H office with your check (made out to "U C Regents") for enrollment fees AFTER you have enrolled your family on line. Send these completed documents and check to: (please do NOT use the forms provided on the 4-H On-Line program)
