This year our 4-H Camp will NOT be held at Silver Lake. We have been recently informed that the City of Stockton is having financial difficulties and has told us to seek out another facility to rent for our camping program.
The only facility we could find is Camp Oakhurst in Coarsegold outside of Oakhurst, California. Camp Oakhurst is located about 20 miles south of the entrance to Yosemite National Park, just 45 minutes northeast of Fresno and only 10 minutes from scenic Oakhurst, California. You will be able to see pictures of cabins, activities, maps, etc. The facility sleeps 348 people and cabins sleep 12 and are much bigger. Therefore, we will have to follow the State 4-H Policy, which is two adults per cabin.
CAMP DATES: Our dates would be Monday, July 6th – Friday, July 10th, 2009.
Please note: JC Training Weekend on March 20-22 nd 2009 at Foothill-Horizons is cancelled. We will schedule a couple of one day trainings at the 4-H Office and one up at Camp Oakhurst Sunday, July 5th.
The cost is $180 person, which includes all meals, camp t-shirt and camp photo. There would be additional fees for the following activities:
